Hands on performance evaluations are going well, I think everyone is learning something from the experience, including Greg and I as instructors. We look forward to growing further from this experience.
Greiner here, I agree there is a bunch to be learned about the process. The hands on analysis has and will provide an excellent way to enhance yours and our training experience. I beleive it will empower individuals with confidence as well as define areas of interest to many. I am currently working on the written evaluation process to get a grip on how it works. So far here is what I know: Levels 1-5 are 3 hour tests. I have yet to figure out the time issues but am working on it. Level 6 is a 4 hour test. The tests are given ONLINE. The material included in the test represents basically a final for each year of apprenticeship. I took the level one just to test run the whole thing. The material followed very closely what was/is covered in first year. I will probably follow this up by taking each test. So far I see some minor glitches that are probably on my end. Again, it's a learning process. Just like mounting the first of 50 lights (luminaires,) the first one is for the learning curve. Anyway, it's a process. Just beleive we are working hard on it.
